WITH BUONA SPRAY-SOL® NOSE IRRIGATION IS CHILD'S PLAY

WHAT IS BUONA SPRAY-SOL®

Spray-sol®, a patent under exclusive licence by Steve Jones srl, is a medical device specifically designed to rapidly administer the solution by nebulisation in particles sized between 10 and 20 microns, ideal for the treatment of the upper airways.The specifically designed shape and the soft material used for the dispenser make it suitable for children’s nostrils, but it can be used by adults as well. The cannula needle, which Buona Spray-sol is equipped with, makes it possible to draw saline solutions or solutions containing medicinal products for aerosol use from any type of vial or bottle. The elephant-shaped syringe cover turns nasal irrigation into a pleasant and playful moment for children.

The Spray-sol® nebuliser (Fig.1) consists of:

  • a device body (A);
  • a coloured soft cap (B), snap-fitted onto the device body.

In turn, the device body consists of two chambers:

  1. the first one is intended for the solution being sprayed,and is cylindrical, hollow and transparent with an internal solid and coloured part;
  2. the second one is intended to collect the solution,and consists of a small transparent corolla-shaped container.

THE SOLUTION REACHES ALL PORTIONS OF THE NASAL CAVITIES

The Spray-sol® nebuliser improves distribution in the rear and upper area of nasal cavities. In these areas, a large amount of mucus stagnates, which can cause inflammation.

HOW TO USE BUONA SPRAY-SOL®

METHOD OF USE

  1. Tear off a single dose vial, warm it between your hands before administering the solution and open it by twisting the cap.
  2. Draw the solution to be nebulised with the Luer Lock syringe:
    • with Nebianax 3% and Nebianax iso vials it is not necessary to use the cannula needle because the vial opening perfectly fits the Luer Lock syringe (Fig. 2A);
    • with other types of vials or containers: attach the cannula needle to the syringe (Fig. 2B), draw the solution to be nebulised then detach the cannula needle from the syringe.
  3. Fit the elephant-shaped syringe cover onto the Spray-sol® nebuliser, ensuring the elephant is facing the nebuliser, as pictured (Fig. 3), and tighten the syringe filled with solution onto the appropriate Spray-sol® nebuliser input nozzle.
  4. To rinse the nose of infants and young children (younger than 3 and however depending on how collaborative they are), they must lie down on one side. Tilt their head to one side and carefully insert the Spray-sol® nebuliser into the upper nostril (Fig. 4A). Push the syringe plunger to nebulise the solution, taking care that the purple cap of the Spray-sol® nebuliser does not detach from the transparent body.

    With older children and adults, hold the chest forwards with the head turned slightly to one side and insert the Spray-sol® nebuliser into the upper nostril (Fig. 4B). Push the syringe plunger to nebulise the solution, taking care that the purple cap of the Spray-sol® nebuliser does not detach from the transparent body.

  5. Repeat the operations in point 4 on the other nostril as well, trying to divide the solution contained in the syringe equally between the two nostrils. During the treatment, the nebulised solution may drip from the nose.
  6. Before storing the components away in the appropriate box, follow the indications of the “CLEANING” paragraph.
