Spray-sol®, a patent exclusively licensed to Buona Spa Società Benefit, is a nebulizer specifically designed to allow the rapid administration of the solution through nebulization into particles sized between 10 and 20 microns, which are ideal for the treatment of the upper airways.
- The specially designed shape and the material used for the dispenser make it suitable for a child’s nostril, but it can also be used by adults.
- The cannula needle supplied with Buona Spray-sol allows saline solutions and/or similar aerosol-use solutions to be drawn from any type of vial or container.
- The Elephant syringe cover turns nasal cleansing into a pleasant, playful moment for children.

Composition
Buona Spray-sol is a medical device indicated for the rhino-sinus administration of saline solutions and/or similar solutions for aerosol use for topical treatments of the upper airways.
Spray-sol®, exclusively licensed patent of Buona SpA Società Benefit, is a nebulizer specifically designed to quickly administer the solution by nebulizing particles ranging from 10 to 20 microns, ideal for treating the upper respiratory tract.
The specially designed shape and the material used for the dispenser make it suitable for a child’s nostrils, but it can be used by adults as well.
The cannula needle, supplied together with the Buona Spray-sol nebulizer, is used to withdraw saline and/or similar aerosol-use solutions from any type of vial or bottle.
The elephant-shaped syringe cover makes nasal washing a pleasant and playful moment for children.
The 5-ml Luer Lock syringe included in the package is a complimentary gift for using Buona Spray-sol.
How to use
- Detach a single-dose vial, heat it in your hands before administering the solution and open it by rotating the cap.
- Draw up the solution to be nebulized with the Luer Lock syringe:
- With NEBIAL 3% and ISONEBIAL vials is not necessary to use the cannula because the opening of the vial perfectly fits into the Luer Lock syringe;
- If you use other types of vials or containers: attach the cannula to the syringe, draw the solution to be nebulised and then detach the cannula from the syringe.
- Attach the elephant syringe-cover to the Spray-sol® nebulizer, making sure that the elephant’s face is facing the nebulizer, and screw the syringe filled with the solution to the appropriate nebulizer inlet nozzle.
- With infants and young children (under 3 years of age and in any case depending on their level of cooperation), it is necessary to have them lie on their side, with their head reclined on one side and gently inserting the Spray-sol® nebulizer into the upper nostril. Push on the syringe piston to spray the solution. Whit older children and adults, lean the torso forward with the head slightly tilted on one side and insert the Spray-sol® nebulizer into the upper nostril. Push the piston of the syringe to nebulize the solution, taking care that the colored cap of the nebulizer does not detach from the transparent body.
- Repeat the operations of step 4 for the other nostril as well, trying to divide the solution contained in the syringe equally between the two nostrils. During the treatment, the nebulised solution may drip from the nose.
At the end of each use, before storing the components in the appropriate case, wash them as follows:
- wash the Spray-sol® nebulizer under running water, with the possible addition of a drop of mild soap (non-abrasive). Before storing, dry the Spray-sol® nebulizer with a soft cloth;
- rinse the syringe body and piston under running water and dry them thoroughly before reassembling the syringe;
- rinse the cannula both internally and externally with running water and let it air dry;
- wash the elephant syringe cover and the container with running water and dry with a soft cloth. Make sure all components are completely dry before storing them inside the container.
Buona Spray-Sol is indicated for use by only one patient but can be used several times. It is therefore very important to clean thoroughly after each use to ensure its optimal operation and ensure its durability.
