BBmilk Zero is a food for special medical purposes intended for the dietary management of prematurity and/or low birth weight when breastfeeding is not possible or is insufficient.
The liquid formulation of BBmilk Zero is designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of these infants, as it contains whey proteins rich in alpha-lactalbumin, vegetable oils, galactooligosaccharides (GOS) derived from milk, and lactoferrin. It also provides an adequate energy and protein intake and is supplemented with nucleotides and LCPUFAs, long-chain essential fatty acids from the omega-3 and omega-6 series.
Composition
Water, pasteurized skimmed fresh milk (41%), maltodextrins, lactose from milk, vegetable oils (soybean, high-oleic sunflower, palm kernel, rapeseed, sunflower), galactooligosaccharides from milk, concentrated whey proteins, beta-palmitate (from palm oil), MCT (medium-chain triglycerides), whey proteins rich in alpha-lactalbumin, minerals (calcium carbonate, calcium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, tripotassium citrate, trisodium citrate, ferrous lactate, potassium chloride, zinc sulfate, magnesium carbonate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, manganese sulfate), oil derived from the microalga Schizochytrium sp. Warnings and storage
- Breast milk is the best food for infants born preterm or with low birth weight and should be encouraged and used for as long as possible. If breastfeeding is not possible or is insufficient, the infant should be fed with a product suitable for their specific needs.
- BBmilk Zero must be used only under the supervision of a Pediatrician.
- Improper preparation and storage may cause disturbances or pose health risks for the infant. Carefully follow the instructions provided.
- Prepare only one bottle at a time and feed it to the infant immediately after preparation.
- Do not reuse any milk left in the bottle after feeding.
- BBmilk Zero must not be administered parenterally.
- The unopened BBmilk Zero package should be stored in a dry place away from heat sources.
- The product is UHT sterilized and packed in a protective atmosphere.
- Once opened, the package must be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within 24 hours.
How to use
Bottle preparation:
- Before preparation, carefully wash and dry your hands and sterilize the bottle, teat, and ring;
- shake the package before opening, pour the required amount of milk into the bottle and warm it in a water bath to a temperature of about 37°C;
- boiling is not necessary as the product is already sterilized;
- after feeding, carefully wash the bottle, teat, and ring.
Dosage: as recommended by the Pediatrician according to the infant’s specific nutritional needs.
