BBmilk RISO PRO 0-12 is a food for special medical purposes, indicated for the dietary management of infants who are allergic to cow’s milk or soy proteins. BBmilk RISO PRO 0-12 is suitable for the nutrition of infants from birth until 12 months old.
The formulation of BBmilk RISO PRO 0-12 has a low allergenic potential thanks to the enzymatically hydrolysed rice proteins (EU and non EU origin) which make up the entire protein content.
BBmilk Riso Pro 0-12 is suitable for use as the infants’ sole source of nourishment from birth until the 6th month of life, if they are not breastfed. From the 6th month onwards, or in any case as soon as weaning has started, BBmilk Riso Pro 0-12 can be part of a diversified complementary diet. Weaning should only be started on the advice of the Paediatrician.
Composition

Warnings and storage
- Breast milk is the best food for infants and should be encouraged and used for as long as possible. If breastfeeding is not possible or sufficient, the infant must be given food that is suited to her needs, after hearing the paediatrician’s opinion.
- BBmilk Riso Pro 0-12 must not be administered parenterally.
- BBmilk Riso Pro 0-12 years must be used only under medical supervision.
- Inadequate preparation and storage can lead to disorders or health risks for the infant. Follow the instructions on the packaging carefully.
- It is recommended to prepare the product only at mealtimes and to consume it within two hours.
- Do not heat or boil the product once it has been prepared.
- Do not reuse any leftover product after the meal.
- Only use the measuring cup contained in the package.
- The product is packaged in a protective atmosphere.
- Once opened, the package must be closed properly and stored in a dry place away from heat sources (not in the refrigerator); the product must be consumed within 3 weeks of opening.
How to use
Preparing the bottle:
- Before preparation, wash and dry your hands thoroughly and sterilise the bottle, teat and screw ring.
- Boil the required amount of water and pour it into the bottle at a temperature of 70 °C.
- Level the scoop with the product, without packing it.
- Add the required number of level scoops of powder to the bottle.
- Close the bottle and shake it to dissolve the powder.
- Before giving it to your baby, check the temperature on the back of your hand – the temperature should not exceed 37°C.
- After use, wash and dry the measuring scoop accurately.

The quantities are however indicative and may vary in the opinion of the paediatrician, depending on the age and appetite of the infant.
One level scoop of BBmilk RISO PRO 0-12 is 4.8 g which equals 23.9 kcal.
Reconstitution of BBmilk RISO PRO 0-12 is at 13.5% and it is obtained by adding one level scoop of powder every 30 ml of water.
