BBmilk PDF is a food for special medical purposes intended for the dietary management of prematurity and/or low weight at discharge, when breastfeeding is not possible or sufficient.
BBmilk PDF is suitable to be used as the sole source of nutrition for preterm infants or infants with low weight at discharge. Its formulation is designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of these infants thanks to its high caloric density and high protein content, provided by whey proteins rich in alpha-lactalbumin and lactoferrin.
It also contains MFGM (Milk Fat Globule Membrane), beta-palmitate, galactooligosaccharides (GOS) and fructooligosaccharides (FOS), and is supplemented with 2’-fucosyllactose (HMO), nucleotides, and long-chain polyunsaturated essential fatty acids.
Composition
Water, pasteurized skimmed fresh milk (29.1%), maltodextrins, vegetable oils (high-oleic sunflower, soybean, palm kernel, rapeseed, sunflower), lactose from milk, galactooligosaccharides from milk, beta-palmitate (from palm oil), MCT (medium-chain triglycerides), whey protein concentrate (contains MFGM – Milk Fat Globule Membrane), concentrated whey proteins, concentrated hydrolyzed whey proteins, minerals (calcium hydrogen phosphate, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, tripotassium citrate, trisodium citrate, potassium chloride, ferrous lactate, zinc sulfate, potassium iodide, magnesium carbonate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, copper sulfate), emulsifier: soy lecithin, oil extracted from Mortierella alpina (contains AA), oil derived from the microalga Schizochytrium sp. Warning and storage
- Breast milk is the best food for preterm infants or infants with low weight at discharge.
- BBmilk PDF must not be administered parenterally.
- BBmilk PDF should only be used under the supervision of a pediatrician.
- Improper preparation and storage may cause disorders or pose risks to the infant’s health. Carefully follow the instructions provided.
- Prepare only one bottle at a time and feed the infant immediately after preparation.
- Do not reuse any milk left in the bottle after feeding.
- The unopened BBmilk PDF package should be stored in a dry place away from heat sources.
- The product is UHT sterilized and packaged in a protective atmosphere.
- Once opened, the package must be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within 24 hours.
How to use
Bottle preparation:
- Before preparation, wash and dry your hands thoroughly and sterilize the bottle, teat, and ring.
- Shake the package before opening, pour the required amount of milk into the bottle, and warm in a water bath to a temperature of about 37 °C.
- Boiling is not necessary as the product is already sterilized.
- After feeding, carefully wash the bottle, teat, and ring.
Dosage: As recommended by the pediatrician according to the infant’s specific needs. 🍼
