Macrogol 4000 is a polymer with lubricating and emollient properties that performs a laxative action thanks to its mechanism which consists of drawing water to the faeces, softening them and causing peristalsis and bowel evacuation. Honey, with its mucus-similar properties, is also able to draw water to the rectum, performing an emollient and humectant action.

PEGinpol is indicated in the treatment of constipation, also in the presence of an irritable colon, haemorrhoids, and fissures.
