BUONA firmly believes in the importance of healthy physical activity for children.
20 minutes of vigorous activity (such as running or any other aerobic sport) a day suffices for children and young people to:
- maintain healthy and efficient bones and joints
- maintain age-appropriate muscle mass
- reduce body fat and maintain optimal weight
- prevent the development of hypertension (which is already evident in adolescents)
- improve learning ability
Physical activity, in addition to known benefits for the well-being of the body, plays a key role in the training and education of the growing child. It improves the ability to adapt to many daily tasks, teaches how to control emotions, improves self-esteem, and increases the ability to socialize. But above all it is exciting and fun!
Data regarding overweight youth are increasingly worrying, the number of sedentary people is increasing, especially in young boys and girls and children due to the popularity of television and computers.
There are always too few children who practice a sport: between the ages of 6 and 10, 1 out of 5 children do not do any physical activity, and the percentage increases when it comes to adolescents, and increases further for adults.
This is in spite of the obvious benefits of regular physical, not necessarily too intense, activity, .
It is a matter of habit and essential from the earliest years of life.
This is why BUONA decided to support certain youth associations, choosing nearby ones to emphasize the importance of social value to the company in relation to the area in which it operates.
